For the past few years, electric vehicles have been making its way to the top of the market. Although it hasn’t nearly been as successful (yet) as other vehicles, it is on its way there. Electric vehicles are the future, it has been said many times before. Particularly electric motorcycles. And anyone, interested or not, in an electric vehicle has to consider the “Range” factor. Drivers, riders, bikers, need a certain amount of leeway to make an investment in a green machine feasible. According to recent studies that was conducted by Ford, Americans drive fewer than 25 miles in an average trip. But of course, motorcycle riders know and want well more than that for a road-trip. We all want a vehicle that can travel far and wide, and you’ll be surprised that today’s zero-emission bikes are delivering impressive range on a full battery charge. We have listed 5 electric motorcycles with over 130 miles of range on a full charge. Please remember that the calculations are based on combined highway and city estimates for a “real world” figure.
5. Zero S with Power Tank
The Zero S bike can go 131 miles on a full charge. This electric motorcycle packs 54 horspower and 68 lb-ft of torque that will get you from 0-60 in 5.8 seconds. It’s also got a top speed of 80 miles per hour, not bad for an electric motorcycle. The Zero S is also available with power tank. Bikes with small tanks does not allow riders from accelerating like the other bikes from the Zero line, yet the 131 miles of real-world range is the top in the bike marker’s lineup. And it looks pretty spectacular, too.
